THE STATUE OF SAINT FRANCIS BACK TO BOWL

After thirty years of wandering back to his natural home, the church of Bath, the beautiful statue of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of Italy and of course the protector of the most populated district of the Lake.
The work of art, solid wood, was carved in 1911 by the artist Nicola Spina (the artist herself, the San Michele, located in the church of San Nicola di Lago) to order a few wealthy people and to be located in the suburban church.
In 1980, the statue was entrusted to the sculptor Gaetano Naccarato, aka "U VUPU" for restoration and replacement, momentaneamenta, a small plaster statue representing , Also, the Patron Saint. After a short time "U Vupu" died and the statue was forgotten in an old laboratory. Years later, Sonnino Bruni, with a generous gesture, was able to recover the statue of the saint and restore it from the master Bonavita of Amantea.
In occasion of the centenary of the construction of the church of Bath, Saturday, March 12, the San Francisco statuadi restored back in its natural place, in solemn procession accompanied by many faithful, led by Don Alfonzo and departure from the church of St. Nicola.
A Sonnino Bruni, for the noble gesture, the gratitude of the people of Lake.

The last story of Tintin

As one might expect, the film produced by Steven Spielberg on Tintin will lead to a new reissue of the entire cycle of the adventures of a young reporter from the red clump.

So while keenly awaiting the mysterious film, The Lizard announces a reprint in eight volumes, apparently modeled on the issue of Egmont.

The popular price (14.50 for each volume, containing an average of 3 adventures) and the reduced size (19x25) should appeal to the general public, but the reader demanding more attention should be paid to this issue.

In fact, the Lizard, previously, had not reprinted the first adventure ("T in the land of the Soviets, never revised, and the only colored by Hergé), which was the only Italian edition Comic Art

And not only this new reissue will also present the "Soviet", but, in absolute preview Italian, even "T. and Alph-Art" (the episode was never completed for the death of Hergé).

So ... look at the library from June to October, because the eight volumes will come out at that time (just in time to greet the film's release).

Who were they? It was the locals (no death in the family) who was celebrating the last day of carnival "dressing up" with old clothes and masks made by hand to cover her face.
The wedding dress of her mother or grandmother or loaned by his friend was the most sought after clothing and almost ever, worn by a male; other garment to be worn for "carnelavata" was the military uniform. The dress changing sex (males to females and vice versa) was the most natural thing and that people liked best, which ran in mass mianzu patchy. "
In this same place in the evening, expecting the arrival of Mastru Pippinu Chiattu, organettu the ccu. It was the most anticipated event of the day of celebration, because Mastru Peppino, in addition to harmony and contentment, he carried with him a group of "harzari" nothing short of sensational, moving to the rhythm of the Tarantella "pull nu corpuscular "Nicova and Prigiotto (Posteraro), wearing her purse for nu" visco-juvaru "Sarvature and current (the bride), Mirettu,
Altima and recently, Sergio Chiatto. This group of people was so valued and expected he could, in a single afternoon, and visit only certain areas of the countryside of the Lake, to gather enough soppressate almost a hundred and a larger amount of sausages and eggs.
