Calow, October 6, 2010
Dear Director,
I had the good fortune to participate in the initiative held last weekend in Villa de Ponti - within a week of cultural Calolziocorte - when he remembered the figure of the late and illustrious maestro Enzo Romano, a pioneer of teaching and cross-deductive, that is where learning takes place usually through the practice and then deduce the theoretical notions. At the same
Romano will be devoted to a computer laboratory at the Middle School A. Manzoni, where equipment (PCs, peripherals, ...) have been fully funded by a subscription organized by the association of parents and other funds raised.
From all this let me make two brief comments. A first aspect concerns the solidarity of parents towards school (public or private). There is still a deep conviction that - albeit barely - even a small contribution and justified, the known item of expenditure, can play an invaluable investment for their children and not least for the community.
This is nothing but a test of welfare associations, which I believe will be increasingly required to and in Italian society. Among the thirty-something now I think he has a vision far more polished than our fathers on which country Italy-ahead. Pessimistic? No, disillusioned. The unconditional gift can not be part of the reform schemes. The second fact concerns
Enzo Romano. His figure appeared between the heartfelt remembrance of his colleagues and former students as a diaphanous crystal, transparent and valuable at the same time.
Transparency and values \u200b\u200bof a teacher. I have no idea who they are and where you can find but I think there is more than many people would have you believe. These should be the true symbol of the school and not mats or baskets "branded".
